Tom Ricketts is a Senior Vice President and the Cyber Practice Leader of Aon’s Professional Services practice, providing cyber risk management advice and cyber insurance placement for more than 150 law firms across the country and internationally.

Tom started his insurance broking career with Willis Faber in Sheffield, England and subsequently worked for Sedgwick in London and Marsh McLennan in New York before joining Aon's Professional Services Practice in New York.  As founder of Sedgwick’s Global Telecommunications practice, Tom became a leading provider of risk management and insurance advice to the global telecommunications and media sector.  Among his innovations in the industry, Tom created and placed the very first open-market Technology Errors & Omissions program.  He was recognized by Risk & Insurance Magazine as a Power Broker for his work in the Telecommunications sector (2006) and in the Construction sector (2011).

Tom is a contributing author to the ABA Cybersecurity Handbook 3rd edition (2022) and to the Aon / Crawford publication "A Guide to Successfully Managing Cyber Claims" (2021).  He regularly presents at legal sector conferences, most recently as a panelist at the ABA TIPS conference in Atlanta (March 3/4 2022)

Tom holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
