Previously the biggest and best-known document automation stand-alone software (it was in use by 25 % of firms - ILTA tech survey in 2014. It tends to be better suited for large law firms – but smaller firms with high-volume and document-intense practices could also benefit from it.
The time commitment to creating and maintaining the HotDoc templates can be considerable and is the reason some firms have moved away. And the initial set-up will likely require the use of a knowledgeable consultant.
